Angloville is a leading provider of language immersion programs in Poland. We take pride in enabling language and cultural exchange between native English speakers and Polish participants.
As an English-speaker you help Polish participants improve their English. In return, Angloville invites you for a free stay in one of its beautiful venues with full board and much more.
Angloville, Angloville Junior, and Tandem House are three different types of language immersion programs which cater to different needs on both the part of the Polish participants and the native English speaking volunteers. All three focus on enabling a cultural and linguistic exchange between the native English speakers and Polish participants. There are many reasons to volunteer for Angloville. One thing’s for sure: it’ll be an extremely unique and fulfilling experience that ends with many new friends, many stories, and many new people and places to visit.
So, what are your options?
This is six days spent in a stimulating environment with Polish people in a series of one-on-one discussions, group activities, negotiations, hiking, walking, swimming, meals (with both Polish and English speakers), entertainment, and social time. Maybe you’re a world traveler. Maybe a friend recommended you the experience. Maybe you’re interested in teaching. Maybe you’re fascinated by Poland, its history, and its culture...
This is similar to the standard Angloville, only catered to a younger demographic, from the ages of thirteen to eighteen. This is perfect for university students or recent graduates, preferably with an interest in teaching.
Have you thought about teaching? Are you interested in getting your TEFL? Why pay for it? Successful participation in a Tandem House programme in addition to an Angloville programme entitles you to a complimentary TEFL voucher (for an Advanced 140-Hour Online TEFL Qualification: $465 value), while providing food and accommodation in a hands-on learning experience. You also receive a 20-hour online preparation course from IELTS, in addition to an Angloville diploma (and reference letter). This is a perfect package for people interested in a career in teaching.
What are my responsibilities?
Your duties as a volunteer vary depending on which program you do. For Angloville and Angloville Junior, your job is to speak English with our Polish participants. The days are rather intensive but the time also goes by very quickly as activities change every hour. It’s a fun and unique way to meet new people from all over the world while helping others achieve a goal that’s very important to them; improving their English.
Your duties for Tandem House are similar but more geared toward teaching. In this environment, rather than being in one-on-one situations, you will work with several people at a time in an environment that’s educational as well as conversational.
How do I apply?
If you’re excited to be part of one of these unique experiences we look forward to hearing from you!
